Herman W. Liburd Herman Liburd, also known as Bobby Liburd, was born to Francis Eardley Liburd and Helena Liburd in Brown Pasture, Nevis on April 2, 1941. He entered the teaching profession in the 1960's and later migrated to Canada to further his studies. Bobby received his Masters of Science in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1973 and later received a Certificate of Legal Education from the Sir Hugh O. B. Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago in 1978.

He was the first Speaker of the National Assembly (Saint Christopher and Nevis Parliament) in the post Independence era (1980 - 1985) and was the Legal Advisor to the Nevis Island Government when the Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance, 1984 was passed into law and was a nominated member of the Nevis Island Assembly when the Nevis International Exempt Trust Ordinance, 1994 was legislated.

Herman was a Notary Public, a Justice of the Peace, a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a non-practicing member of the Bar of England and Wales.

Herman W. Liburd Herman enjoyed an accomplished legal career and possessed considerable experience in the areas of Corporate Law, Trusts Law, Private Clients, Matrimonial Law, Wills, Probates, Succession and Conveyancing and has co-authored and published several articles on offshore companies and entities and was a contributor to ‘Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics’. He regularly provided advice to developers on large development projects within the Federation.

Herman was a master joiner and had a love for wood working and antique furniture, a passion he inherited from his late father.
